Question: Do you think one is more likely to listen to a speaker with this paternalistic approach as opposed to someone like John Locke who was more cut and dry?
I feel that it is hard to say that the majority of people would be drawn to one or the other as everybody has different preferences. That said, personally, I think that the Paternalistic method would be the more effective way of speaking.
