QQC #4

Quote: A public is a space of discourse organized by nothing other than discourse itself. It is autotelic; it exists only as the end for which book are published, shows broadcast, websites posted, speeches delivered, opinions produced. It exists by virtue of being addressed.

Question: If this assumption of public is supposed to be self organized, how can a person create this sort of space without addressing a public?

  1. You wouldn't necessarily have to address the public. You could address one person and then have a domino effect that can then be shown to the public. Some thing are not directly addressed to a public but yet we find them with some how being addressed to the public.
