QQC 1 - Plato

Quote: "Socrates: And so the rhetorician's business is not instruct a law court or a public meeting in matters of right and wrong, but only to make them believe; since, I take it, he could not in a short while instruct a mass of people in matters so important."

Question: In this excerpt from Plato's Gorgias, do you believe Plato is setting the stage for what he believes to be  true and false rhetoric? Are Plato's views of truth (true rhetoric) and knowledge for the greater good of the audience, rather than for the rhetor themselves, portrayed through this dialectic between Socrates and Gorgias? Is hi opposition against Sophists' view of rhetoric clear through this dialogue?
