QQC 3

Quote: "The soul is called to be a 'living word' of justice and peace through such service to the body of the world."

Question: Why do you St Catherine meant by calling the soul a "living word"?

  1. I would say she use the term "living word" to exemplify the constant change and inability to remain stagnant or diminish. It is somewhat against human nature to remain the same throughout events and change, and our behavior is the biggest evidence to this claim. She most likely used the phrase "living word" because as we live our lives this soul/living word will evolve and change indefinitely and she refuses to limit it in such a way.

  2. This is an interesting question as I myself was wondering the same thing. I suspect that St. Catherine means by "living word" that the soul is meant to be a sort of living testimony which is constantly having experiences which shape the way an individual feels. It is also to say that these feelings and beliefs are not necessarily set in stone and can be changed throughout life.
