Question: In what ways can sovereignty help society? In what ways can it hurt society?
I think that sovereignty definitely has its pros and cons. The supporters of sovereignty will argue that they wish practice their own culture without restrictions, in their own place. This is certainly understandable, but the problem is that mindset is also somewhat divisive as the group seeking sovereignty is essentially rejecting any type of assimilation and choosing to stay excluded from other groups cultures.
