Question: Do you agree with this? What signs can we point to that a lack of self-governance can cause chaos and/or destruction?
I think this is a completely valid statement, and it also highlights the relationship and mutual need between the people and the government. As far as signs of lack of self-government, I'd say that could classify as a lot of things including behavior that wildly impulsive or irrational. It's obvious that some people are inherently self-destructive and I believe one of the fastest ways to destruction is a lack of good judgements and ability to discern.
