Quote: "For without self-governance, especially in
America, the people fragment into a destructive and chaotic individualism, and without
the people, there is no one left to govern and simply nothing left to protect."

Question: Do you agree with this? What signs can we point to that a lack of self-governance can cause chaos and/or destruction?

  1. I think this is a completely valid statement, and it also highlights the relationship and mutual need between the people and the government. As far as signs of lack of self-government, I'd say that could classify as a lot of things including behavior that wildly impulsive or irrational. It's obvious that some people are inherently self-destructive and I believe one of the fastest ways to destruction is a lack of good judgements and ability to discern.
